As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I work to establish a trusting, non-judgmental, and therapeutic relationship with you in order to meet your counseling needs. Being a support in your life while providing a comfortable environment to explore what’s causing distress is at the top of my priorities list as a clinician.
I’m here to empower you as an individual, reduce or eliminate presenting symptoms, and help you move forward in your life.
I understand coming into counseling for the first time can be anxiety provoking, so please know each session moves at your own pace. I do everything in my power to meet you where you’re at and encourage you to use the time as you need. Whether you just feel stuck or need help with more severe symptoms, I’m here to help you move forward.
In addition to being a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I have been trained by the International Association of Trauma Professionals in order to provide me with the skills necessary to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other forms of trauma.
Throughout my career, I have been lucky enough to work with numerous agencies, hospitals, and practices. I have experience treating a wide range of issues and currently provide therapy for adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Additionally, I am in the process of obtaining my supervisor designation (LPCC-S) in order to help other counselors work towards their independent clinical licensure.
I am originally from northeast Ohio and have lived in the Columbus, Ohio area since 2013. In 2010, I earned my undergraduate degree from Ohio University before entering graduate school where I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University, located in Rock Hill, SC. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, being outdoors (3 out of the 4 seasons), golfing, and reading up on the latest and greatest mental health research.
